The application example of TAMAGO-Pi by Hylable Inc.
We, Hylable Inc. develop and sell "Hylable Discussion", a discussion visualization service using System In Frontier’s TAMAGO-Pi.
"Hylable Discussion" is a cloud service that records and automatically analyzes conversations between multiple people at corporate meetings, training sessions, and group discussions at schools. The results of the automatic analysis are immediately displayed in diagram and reports, and then they are used for analyzing or reviewing for effectiveness of meetings, trainings or classes.
- Introduction
- Hylable Inc. possesses a sound environment analysis technology that can distinguish multiple voices from various directions even in noisy environments using a microphone array. In order to provide services utilizing this technology, it was essential to have a microphone array with stable performance and easy to use. Prior to founding the company, Takeshi Mizumoto, the founder of Hylable Inc. had been using acoustic devices such as the RASP series developed by SYSTEM IN FRONTIER INC. since he was engaged in sound research at Kyoto University and a major automobile manufacturer's research laboratory. Because of this connection, we adopted the TAMAGO-Pi as our standard device when we founded Hylable Inc.
- Subsequent Developments
- After that, we had a number of customizations made to the conventional TAMAGO-Pi, such as attaching LEDs and incorporating a small computer. The result is the new egg-shaped microphone array(TAMAGO-Pi) that Hylable Inc. is using today. The design of the TAMAGO-Pi proposed by SYSTEN IN FRONTIER INC.. has been well received by children in the educational field. In total, Hylable Inc. has used nearly 100 of these microphone arrays so far.
- Results
- By combining the stable performance of SYSTEM IN FRONTIER INC. microphone array, which has a 20-year track record, with our own technology and systems, Hylable Inc. has recorded and analyzed over 15,000 conversations without a single failure.
